FAQ

Run Time & Performance

How high and far does the water shoot?

The water jet can reach 30+ metres depending on pressure and setup.

Can multiple units be used together?

Yes. Multiple SHOCK-WAVE units can be synchronised to create larger, choreographed effects for peak moments in a show.

Can the firing angle be adjusted?

Yes. The system features adjustable firing angles (around 40° to 60°) to control trajectory and effect style.

How quickly can it fire again?

It can typically be refired within 30 to 60 seconds, depending on water supply and setup conditions.

Does the audience get wet?

SHOCK-WAVE’s powerful water burst rapidly breaks into a mist as it falls, delivering a cooling effect rather than a heavy soak. Audience exposure will vary depending on distance, environmental conditions and the firing pressure.

How easy is it to set up?

It is designed for touring and live production use, with a portable frame, castors, and stackable design for efficient transport and deployment.

Can you part fill SHOCK-WAVE?

The Water Cannon should always be fully filled to achieve the desired effect. This is approx. 16 litres per shot.

Can it be used indoors?

The unit should be operated in outdoor venues or sufficiently large indoor spaces where water fallout will not pose a hazard.

What pressure does it operate at?

SHOCK-WAVE typically operates at 16 bar. For a less explosive effect, with a less stratified water output it can fire at lower pressures though we recommend not going below 8-Bar.

Does it use a lot of wate

Each shot uses a controlled volume of water (around 16 litres per cycle), and systems can be refilled quickly for repeated effects.

Is it suitable for touring productions?

Yes. SHOCK-WAVE was engineered to be portable and stackable for easy transport to different venues. They are quick and simple to setup for touring crews and festivals.

How many crew members are needed to operate it?

SHOCK-WAVE requires at least two operators to ensure a safe and easy setup.

Is it visible at all times of the day?

SHOCK-WAVE looks great in both light and dark settings. The effect is highly visible in daylight, especially when it catches the sunlight. In the evenings, it is further enhanced by lighting, staging, or projection.
