Cryo curtain
SMOKE-TECH is a smoke curtain generator meticulously designed for use on stage. Using liquid CO₂, it chills the fog produced by an internal smoke generator to provide a thick, falling curtain of white smoke. The system comes equipped with integrated DMX so technicians can independently control the smoke output, fans and CO₂ cooling.

Nozzles are designed using computational fluid dynamics to achieve a smooth, uninterrupted flow. Smoke is evenly distributed, providing a dense and immersive effect that brings drama to any production.
VERSATILE
The system offers incredible versatility, capable of creating two distinct types of atmospheric effects. It can be suspended from a height to create a dense falling smoke curtain. Alternatively, it can be configured to generate mystical ground-level fog.
MODULAR
The system is designed to be expandable. Multiple units can be connected together for a seamless effect. Whether you need a single unit or multiple to cover a larger area, the Cryo Curtain provides an impressive smoke display.

How does the Cryo Curtain work?
The system generates a high-output smoke stream which is rapidly cooled using liquid CO₂. This process condenses the output into a dense, slow-falling curtain of white fog, creating a dramatic visual barrier effect.

How dense is the smoke output?
The system produces a high-density, laminar flow effect designed to create a continuous and visually solid curtain of smoke.
Can multiple units be used together?
SMOKE-TECH is fully modular and scalable. Multiple units can be linked together to cover stages of any size. The units are each 2.4 metres in length, there’s no limit how many can be joined together.
How long does the effect last?
Duration depends on output settings, ventilation, and CO₂ usage, but the system can run continuously while consumables are supplied.
Can it be used with lighting or projection?
Yes. The dense smoke column is ideal for lighting beams, lasers, and projection mapping effects.
Setup & Operation
What does the system require to run?
It requires smoke fluid, liquid CO₂ supply, and standard power and DMX control for operation.
Can it be controlled during a live show?
Yes. The system features DMX control, allowing independent adjustment of smoke output, cooling, and airflow for precise show programming.
Safety & Usage
Is the SMOKE-TECH designed for outdoor use?
The cryo curtain is designed primarily for indoor use or sheltered environments. It should not be operated outdoors or in locations exposed to rain, moisture, or extreme weather.
Does it affect visibility or air quality?
It temporarily reduces visibility in the effect zone to create the curtain effect. Like all atmospheric effects, it should be used with appropriate ventilation planning.

SMOKE-TECH is an incredible addition to any production. The curtain can be lit with conventional stage lighting and can also be used with projection and laser lighting. The combination of lighting and smoke can achieve a huge range of effects and screening surfaces to enhance productions.
